ON THE BIG SCREEN: Ghost World at the Mondavi Center, Feminist Film Festival in Davis

FOCUS ON FILM: The Mondavi Center’s winter-spring Graphic Novel series continues at 6 p.m. April 5 with Ghost World, a live-action take on the graphic novel of the same name, chronicling with humor and irony the life of seemingly average characters, all with the proverbial deck stacked against them. Directed by Terry Zwigoff, rated R, 111 minutes, English. In the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre. Next film: 6 p.m. April 19.

DAVIS FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL: Short films from around the world. April 9-10, Veterans Memorial Center Theatre, 14th and B streets. Reception, 5 p.m. both days; films start at 6 both days.
