THE ARTS: Forum@MC canceled

The Mondavi Center announced the cancellation of a free Forum@MC, "The Bernstein Effect," which had been scheduled for 5 p.m. Oct. 28. Center officials attributed the cancellation to scheduled conflicts.

The forum participants had been listed as Leon Botstein, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra conductor, and Professor D. Kern Holoman, UC Davis Symphony Orchestra conductor.

A Mondavi Center spokeswoman said the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra's concert, with Botstein, will take place as scheduled. The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m. Oct. 27 in Jackson Hall, with a preperformance lecture set for 7 p.m.

Ticket availability is limited for the concert, according to the Mondavi Center's Web site.
