DOWNTOWN FESTIVITIES

9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Family Fun Fest, Central Park, bounded by B, C, Third and Fifth streets. Carousel, bounce houses, climbing wall and more —all accessible by buying a wristband: $15 or two for $25 in advance at the farmers market, or $20 each at the festival. Proceeds go to Davis High School’s Blue & White Foundation.

9 a.m.-4 p.m.: California Bicycle Museum, showcasing bicycles dated from 1823 to 2008, from the UC Davis collection. Basement, Third and B Street Building, Central Park. Free admission.

10:30 a.m.: Cycling teams arrive at Central Park.

11:20 a.m.: Starting line program, along C Street, between Third and Fourth streets (adjacent to Central Park).

Noon: Stage 1 begins with the riders making two loops of downtown. Watch the ride on the Central Park Jumbotron.

Noon-3 p.m.: Downtown Cyclebration, E Street Plaza, between Second and Third streets. Free admission.

12:15-2 p.m.: Davis Junior Criterium, sponsored by the Davis Bike Club, for ages 10-18, Central Park. Registration and more information: dbcraceteam.org.

ALONG RUSSELL BOULEVARD

11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: For about 15 minutes before the race starts and 15 minutes after, expect delay entering and leaving the north side of campus.

CAMPUS PARKING

$6 in garages and parking lots where Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) attendants are on duty. Please bring exact change. (People with UC Davis permits will not be charged.)

Primary parking zone: south entry garage and the adjacent surface lots (1 and 2), off Old Davis Road just off Interstate 80 (UC Davis exit).

Overflow: west entry garage and lots 40 and 41 on Hutchison Drive (off Highway 113).

MOTORIST ASSISTANCE

Complimentary, from TAPS: lockout service, tire inflation, jump start and ride to a gas station. Call (530) 752-8277.

UNITRANS SHUTTLE BUSES

Free. 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Campus: Buses will come along every five to 10 minutes until 2:30 p.m., then every 15 to 20 minutes until 5 p.m.

Community (between north Davis and downtown): Buses will come along every 10 to 15 minutes until 2 p.m., then every 20 minutes until 5 p.m. All stops are in the vicinity of Davis High School and Community Park:

Veterans Memorial Center — 203 E. 14th St., west of F Street (parking for 250 cars, between the center and the high school)

Davis High School — West 14th Street between Oak Avenue and B Street

New Davis High gym — Oak Avenue and Scripps Drive (parking for 100-plus cars)

Covell Boulevard and F Street (parking for 80 cars at the nearby Davis Art Center)
