2 PLANT SALES AND 1 PRESALE

The Friends of the UC Davis Arboretum have put their green thumbs to work on the number of fall plant sales: This year there will be two instead of one.

Also, the Davis Botanical Society, which supports the UC Davis Botanical Conservatory, is holding its annual “presale.” It is called that because it comes the day before one of the arboretum plant sales.

“The presale offers a wonderful assortment of lesser known plants that are called indoor and tender outdoor plants (tender and somewhat cold tolerant to completely cold-tolerant), including succulents, carnivorous plants, great house and patio plants, as well as orchids,” said Ernesto Sandoval, the conservatory’s director.

“Between the conservatory and the arboretum, we have one of the best sets of plant sales in California as far as diversity and quantity are concerned.”
