YoloArts is celebrating 12 years of farm visits Friday Nov. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hotel Woodland, 436 Main Street in downtown Woodland during the 12th Annual Art Farm Gala, a fundraiser for the arts and land preservation.
Artwork inspired by Yolo County farmlands including work created on farm sites located in all corners of Yolo County with the Art and Ag project will be available for harvest and auction at the event, be included among the 142 works by 101 artists. On Oct. 4, the exhibition's juried award winners were announced:
- Cream of the Crop Award: Old Horse Shed by Jaimie Montiel
- Farmer’s Pick Award: The Sentry by Karen Anable-Nichols
- Plein Air Award: Evening Glow in the Valley by Karen Fess
Voting for the People’s Choice Award will continue through Oct. 30 at Gallery 625 in Woodland, open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and this award will be announced at the gala.
Small bites with wine and beer tastings from over twenty local farms, restaurants, wineries and breweries will be available.
Live music will be provided by Mike Blanchard and the Californios.
