West Village housing survey

The university is distributing a survey on faculty-staff housing plans for the upcoming West Village neighborhood, which will be located west of Highway 113 and south of Russell Boulevard. The campus designed the survey to learn about faculty and staff housing needs in the new neighborhood.

The deadline is Dec. 9.

Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2006 on the utilities to support West Village. The entire development could ultimately house about 4,350 residents (3,000 students and 500 faculty and staff members and their families). The Master Plan envisions a vibrant and integrated residential neighborhood of about 1,600 affordable housing units for students, faculty and staff.

As an incentive to take part in the survey, gift certificates from the UC Davis Bookstore will be awarded to four randomly selected respondents who complete the survey by the deadline. To access the survey, visit http://www.andersonstrickler.com/survey/ucdavisfs.

Participation in the housing survey is confidential.
