Eligibility examined

The systemwide Academic Senate is considering proposed changes to UC's freshman eligibility requirements, following the recent Calif-ornia Postsecondary Education Commission study that showed UC's eligibility rate at 14.4 percent compared to the state Master Plan target of 12.5 percent. The senate expects to forward a recommendation to the UC Board of Regents for consideration at the regents' July 14-15 meeting.
