Rooms announced for last 2 brown bags on proposed School of Global Health

Meeting locations have been announced for the last two brown bags focused on describing a proposed UC-wide School of Global Health. Faculty from all disciplines who have an interest in global health are invited to the meetings, one scheduled on the Davis campus and the other on the Sacramento campus.

The school would comprise centers of excellence around the UC system, and the forthcoming brown bags at UC Davis are intended to lay the groundwork for establishing such a center as an interdisciplinary unit on this campus, said Professor Michael Wilkes, director of Global Health Programs in the School of Medicine, who is coordinating the meetings. The series of four brown bags began June 13. Two more remain, with both starting at noon:

July 23 -- fifth-floor conference room, 5206 Vet Med 3A

Aug. 5 -- 2205 Education Building, UC Davis Medical Center
