New UC Davis Building Houses Six Ag Programs

Six full-service statewide agricultural programs are now under one roof in a new 13,000 square-foot facility at UC Davis. The UCDivision of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) building, located amid vineyards and orchards near the University Airport, houses directors and staff for the division's northern and north-central regions, the state 4-H program coordinator, the Genetic Resources Conservation Program, the Small Farm Center, the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program and the public information and training office for the USDA's sustainable agriculture programs in the West. "The increased interaction among these ag programs has been a wonderful benefit of locating together," says Bill Liebhardt, SAREP director.
