UC Davis scientists will detail what was in World Trade Center air

WHAT: Scientists at the University of California, Davis, will describe the most thorough analysis yet of the air pollution blown through lower Manhattan after the collapse of the World Trade Center.

They will discuss specific findings about the debris particles, including their sizes and components, such as sulfates, silicon, asbestos and metals.

They will make recommendations for indoor cleaning methods.

When: Noon, Monday, February 11

Who: International authorities on the collection and analysis of airborne particles from the UC Davis DELTA research group and from collaborating research institutions.

Where: Room 203 of Mrak Hall (main administration building), on the UC Davis campus

Take Interstate 80 to the UC Davis campus exit (west of Richards Boulevard exit). Turn north from off-ramp onto Old Davis Road. Drive past South Gate kiosk and follow Old Davis Road to the stop sign. At the stop sign, turn right, continuing on Old Davis Road to the stop light at Mrak Hall Drive. Turn left. Media can park in any legal parking space.
