Candidates for top student affairs post to address UC Davis community

The Recruitment Advisory Committee for the post of vice chancellor for student affairs has scheduled five candidates for formal interviews. Candidates will participate in campus forums in late February and early March, and the campus community is invited to attend.

Each forum will consist of a brief presentation by a candidate and question period followed by a reception. The candidates, and the date, time and place of their forums, are:

  • Dr. Dean Bresciani, associate vice chancellor of student services at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; Wednesday, Feb. 27, 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the Silo Cafe and Pub.
  • Dr. Janet Gong, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs at UC Davis; Monday, March 4, 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in MU II of the Memorial Union.
  • Dr. Judy Sakaki, vice president for student affairs and dean of students at California State University, Fresno; Wednesday, March 6, 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the University Club lounge.
  • Dr. Fred Wood, associate dean of undergraduate education and advising in the College of Letters and Science at UC Davis; Thursday, March 7, 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the University Club's Club Room.
  • Dr. Larry Roper, vice provost of Student Affairs at Oregon State University; Monday, March 11, 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the University Club's Club Room.
