Registration is under way for the 2009 Tomales Bay Writers Workshops, presented by UC Davis’ Creative Writing Program.
The event brings aspiring writers into close community with award-winning, nationally-known poets and writers, and respected editors and agents for four days of intensive conversation about the craft.
The keynote speaker is listed as UC Berkeley English professor Robert Hass, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet (2008, for his book Time and Materials) and U.S. poet laureate (1995-97).
Organizers said the faculty includes Daniel Alarcón, Gaitskill, Fenton Johnson, Dana Levin, Robin Romm and Jess Walter.
The workshops are scheduled from Oct. 21 to 25. Tuition is $1,550. The registration deadline is Aug. 1, or until all spaces are taken.
