The 15th annual event honored college alumni and friends, including staff. In addition to Mondavi, others also receiving the college's Award of Distinction included Calvin Dooley, Congressman; John Fiddyment, rancher; Robert Granados, entomologist; Pamela Marrone, entrepreneur; and David Masumoto, farmer. Calvin Qualset, professor in agronomy, received the faculty award; Linda Childress, UC Davis employee for 38 years, was chosen for the staff award; and Daniel Macon, conservationist, received the alumni award.
