Chemistry students discover elements of achievement

UC Davis’ acclaimed chemistry program offers students an excellent foundation to build on for success in the field.

As an undergraduate student, you can expect to be taught by faculty at the leading edge of their disciplines who are tackling some of society’s most important scientific and technological challenges. In offering both B.A. and B.S. degrees, the Department of Chemistry’s program is rigorous yet flexible, giving you the kind of education to prepare you for graduate study and put you among industry’s most sought after graduates.

In addition to the traditional chemistry major, the department recently created a major in pharmaceutical chemistry to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the processes and societal issues involved in modern pharmaceuticals.

Undergraduates are given the chance to personalize their learning in a program that boasts outstanding research facilities, informative seminars, advising and tutoring resources, an active Student Chemistry Club and Facebook page. At UC Davis, chemistry students discover a spirit of research and collaboration that sets us apart from other universities. It is this environment that makes studying here a unique and rewarding experience.

Thanks to UC Davis’ offering of more than 100 majors, students have a wide range of opportunities to grow, learn and achieve in their chosen careers.
