Broadcasters graduate to the big league spotlight

The student-run KDVS 90.3 radio station at UC Davis has launched an impressive number of sports broadcasting careers.

Alumni include Rich Waltz '86 of the Miami Marlins; Tim Sullivan '90, an ESPN producer, Eric Hasseltine '96, a Memphis Grizzlies broadcaster; Matias Godinez '08, color analyst for the San Francisco 49ers Hispanic radio network; and Scott Marsh '93, M.B.A. '95, KHTK radio and Sacramento Kings' broadcast assistant.

Nestled in the basement of Freeborn Hall, the 9,200 watt-KDVS broadcasts Aggie sports, talk shows like Aggie Talk, and music and news programming. Read this UC Davis Magazine story to learn more about KDVS sports broadcasting.

A student-run program like KDVS is yet another example of how UC Davis prepares young people for professional success.
