Climbing the heights of fitness

The Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) puts the “extra” in “extracurricular” for UC Davis students.

One of the region’s premier fitness facilities, the ARC features rock climbing, weightlifting, dance, table tennis, racquetball, martial arts and personal training, group exercise classes and a variety of cardio machines. Operated by Campus Recreation and Unions, the building includes a climate-controlled indoor walking/running track, basketball and volleyball courts, study lounges, meeting places for student clubs and technologically advanced conference facilities.

Other amenities include a full-service coffee house and a Fitness and Wellness Center, where students receive individually tailored advice to help them lead healthy lifestyles.

With facilities and programs like those at the ARC, UC Davis offers students many ways to keep fit, relax, learn and have fun.
