Campus Updates and Information About Quad Encampment

On Monday, May 6, a group named UC Davis Popular University for the Liberation of Palestine, or UCD PULP, began erecting tents on the Quad, consistent with actions taken on campuses across the country. This page contains all of the university statements and information regarding the university's response to the encampment and will be updated periodically.

Statement: May 15 Student March Through Buildings

On Wednesday, demonstrators who are not affiliated with the encampment on the Quad led a march through six campus buildings, briefly entering classrooms in some of them. University leaders are gathering more information and plan to address any concerns related to the conduct.

No Arrests at Memorial Union Quad Encampment

There have been no arrests in relation to the encampment or counter-demonstrators.

There have been a few heated moments and occasions where security personnel have been called, including a brief encounter on the afternoon of May 14. Students, security staff and others have worked quickly to de-escalate these situations when they arise.

When the university receives a complaint of offensive behavior, it immediately reaches out to the affected parties to provide support and resources, and reviews the allegations under the university’s anti-discrimination policy.
